[Indian Current Affairs:742] Current affairs briefing for 28th January, 2009

Hi friends,

In today's briefing:

1.  Centre's attempts to lighten the burden for Mulayam Singh Yadav appear to be not bearing fruit.

2.  We take note of an unknown organization that goes by the name Sri Ram Sene.

3.  RBI releases the 3rd quarter review of its policy.  Do you seem much of a policy there?  Looks like it is felt more by its absence than anything else.

4.  Ever heard of Hayekian recession?  I heard it for the first time.  Very interesting.  Thanks to SSA Aiyar.

5.  R Venkataraman is no more.  May his soul rest in peace.

That's it for today.  Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
