[Indian Current Affairs:724] Current affairs briefing for 12th January, 2009

Hi friends,

In today's briefing:

1.  Satyam gets a new board.  Governments act very swiftly to put its house in order.

2.  What is the transporters' strike about?  What measures did the government take to neutralize it?  On the whole I really liked the way the government acted.

3.  Data exclusivity gets short shrift from Indian Parliament.

4.  What is the basis of corporate governance in India?

5.  Oldest impact structure discovered in India.  What are impact structures?  Any idea?

That's enough for today.  Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
