[Indian Current Affairs:721] Current affairs briefing for 9th January, 2009

Hi friends,

In today's briefing:

1.  More on Satyam saga.  Some personal ideas on what should be done.

2.  A look at the number of days our Parliament works.

3.  Why are the oil sector officers on strike?

4.  Ever heard of 'isolation paradox'?  Perhaps quite unlikely.  It is a high funda concept taught to us by Manoj Pant today.  Worth knowing.

5.  LLP bill is finally passed.

6.  Ghajini shatters all box office records in India.

7.  Language lesson: spiffy.

That's it for today.  Looks like the Satyam fiasco is taking its toll on us.  Perhaps it will take us a few days to shake it off and get on with our usual business.

Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
