[Indian Current Affairs:735] Current affairs briefing for 22nd January, 2009

Hi friends,

Just a bit of update.  Something is clearly wrong with Google Groups mailing system.  In spite of my posting the daily mail, somehow it is not getting mailed to you.  Secondly, there is something wrong with the Google RSS feeds also.  It is showing the RSS subscribers erratically.  Let's hope Google attends to these issues.

In today's briefing:

1.  What are the options before Obama for revving up the US economy?

2.  Take a look at the telecom sector progress in India.

3.  Can India ever face deflation?  A good take on the issue.

4.  Ever heard of MGCs?

5.  Gitmo trials temporarily halted.

6.  Who has the nom de plume 'Minerva'?  Making waves in the blogosphere.

7.  Toyota is world's car maker number 1.

That's it for today.  Hope this mail reaches you all.

Ramakrishna
