Current affairs briefing for 6th May, 2007.

Hi friends,

Here goes today's link:

http://indiancurrentaffairs.blogspot.com/2007/05/06052007.html

In today's briefing:

1.  Today surprisingly, I found quite a few names that need to be remembered by us.  So it may look names, names, names for many of you.  But I think it is worth it.  The DG of EPC for EOUs and SEZs, Petroleum and Natural Gas regulators, Stilwell, La Sagards Familia and Antoni Gaudi, Asra Nomani, Gordon Scott and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston.  Whew.  What a list?  Take a look.

2.  We all know that many states in India have switched over to the VAT form of taxation.  How much did they earn as revenue?

3.  A lil bit more about India's demographic dividend.

4.  Pass-through for VCFs extended to infrastructure sectors; albeit with some exceptions.

5.  Something about beautiful Marilyn Monroe.  All work and no play ...

6.  NTRO and NICRD to be established in Hyderabad.

7.  Honey to aid diabetics?

8.  Ever heard of cymatics?

9.  ASEAN+3's measures on avoiding repeat of the financial crisis.

That's all for today.

Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
