Hi friends,
I couldn't post the blogs yesterday and day before yesterday due to some tight personal schedule.
Here we resume again with today's notings from papers:
http://indiancurrentaffairs.blogspot.com/2007/05/19052007.html
In today's briefing:
1. Do you know that a whole is observed for a disease known as retinoblastoma? It's a genetic disorder in children that leads to cancer in the eye.
2. What do you know about Military World Games? I was really surprised to know a bit more about the games. India is hosting the latest version of these games.
3. Some info about ragging and the recommendations of the Committee that went into the issue.
4. Ever heard of McCarthyism? I heard about it and came across passing references to it in some books. But today we take a look at its basics.
5. India has a new Cabinet Secretary!! Who is that?
6. Why did Paul Wolfowitz lose his job as President of the World Bank. Remember the saying "There is a woman behind every mans success..." Sounds so true. Know?
7. A little recap about the Sir Creek dispute with Pakistan. India and Pakistan have exchanged the surveyed maps of the creek.
8. A couple of other tidbits.
That's all for today. Happy reading.
And, ALL THE BEST TO YOU IN YOUR PRELIMS TOMORROW.
