Current affairs briefing for 20th May, 2007.

Hi friends,

As you keep writing your Prelims today, I keep making my notes for all of you with equal fervour.  I hope all of you are performing well in today's exam.

Here go our links for today:

In today's briefing:

1.  We take a look at how the President of India is elected in little more detail than what we have covered earlier.

2.  What do you understand by Social Entrepreneurship?  Take a look at where it all started and how our Business schools are jumping on to the bandwagon.

3.  GoI imposed a few more curbs on forex to bring down inflation.  Take a look.

4.  One more regulator:  this time to regulate the airports.

5.  Some interesting developments worth noting in rice.  GM rice and iron fortified rice to be precise.

6.  Ever heard of a game called 'Parkour'?  I sure heard it the first time only to realize that it is a game sport that I watched interestingly in a recent ad for some carbonated drink.

7.  We all have heard of calls for 'inclusive growth'.  What do we mean by this inclusive growth?  Take a look at some of its characteristics.

8.  World Snooker meet will be held in Goa.

That's all for today.  I know most of you are sweating it out writing your exam today while I am typing away this mail for you.  But my thoughts can rarely be away from all of our collective consciousness.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU ONCE AGAIN.

Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
