In today's briefing:

1.  An interesting debate about using forex reserves for infrastructure financing.  This has raged for quite some time.  But a look at it again with my take on the subject in today's Discover It.

2.  Ever heard of cyberslacking?  If you keep wasting your time too much on our Time Pass blog, that is called cyberslacking.

3.  What is Granma?  I know you have a grandma; but the clue here is: Cuba.

4.  If you are ever asked to cite a good example of our Left's illogical stance, you can quote what we have noted today -- on labour standards.

5.  Government has appointed transaction advisers for PPP.  What do they do?

6.  Venice Film Festival commenced.  Let's know a bit about it and the possible winner of the Golden Lion this year.  If you are a boy and tell me you don't know Keira Knightley, the only advice I can give is -- Grow up and become a man.  If you are a girl; well, then possibly you are jealous.  Juss kidding.

7.  Will Raghuram Rajan herald the third generation reforms in India?

8.  What do you know about ICRISAT's work?  Let's take a look at some of its programmes.

9.  How are bubbles formed in boiling liquids?  Nucleation!!! Eureka, Eureka...

10.  Sports awards presented.  Cram them up.

11.  India wins Nehru Cup.  What is this cup about?  Why so much fuss?

12.  Burning Man festival.  Where is it held?  Why is it in the news?

That's all folks for today.  Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
