Current affairs briefing for 15th May, 2008

Hi friends,

Here is our link for today:

http://indiancurrentaffairs.blogspot.com/2008/05/15052008.html

In today's briefing:

1.  India is desperately scouting for nuclear fuel -- even from non-NSG countries.

2.  Postal department's plans to do a Railways, on utilizing its land assets appear to have come a cropper.

3. Vijinzham finally taking off?

4.  Can you name the alternative being planned for LIBOR?  It is called NYFR.

5.  Will the rising international crude prices hit the Indian economy?  If so how large or small could the impact be?

6.  Why should we ignore terrorist attacks occurring around the country?

7.  Global piracy rates appear to be knowing only one direction -- North.

8.  China is growing giant vegetables.  Look at the logic!!  I am surprised and feel good about it.

That's it for today.  Happy reading.
