Current affairs briefing for 22nd March, 2007.

Hi friends,

Today also I have been very busy right from the morning.  Hence there is delay.  Here are our links:

And don't forget to follow today's quiz link from the blogs.

In today's briefing:

1.  Look at how TRAI has revised the ADCs.  This will bring down the telecom charges.

2.  One more authority is being created for vetting the SEZ land requirements.  Government being overcautious?

3.  A bit about power shortages.  From time to time it becomes important for us to have a kind of recap of our power situation.

4.  How much is our proven ore reserves for iron?

5.  Surely you would have heard the phrase "revolving fund" some time.  What exactly is it?

6.  We all know about MSP; don't we?  Well, how is that it gets fixed?  Is there a body which does any scientific study to arrive at the MSP for a crop?  Take a look.

7.  A very good article from our beloved Professor of IIMA TT Ram Mohan.  Do read the article in full.  It is good.  And do take a look at my take on his prognosis.

8.  And you have a little more info on subprime US mortgage market.  Hope this answers the queries being posed to me by many of you.

Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
