Current affairs briefing for 19th March, 2007.

Hi friends,

Happy UGADI (Telugu New Year) to those of you who are celebrating it today.  I will be celebrating Ugadi tomorrow.  Cos, that's when my wife said she will give me the 'Ugadi Pachchadi'.  (For those who don't understand Telugu, Ugadi Pachchadi is a kind of soup having all tastes in it -- sweet, sour, bitter etc.  Telugus celebrate Ugadi (their New Year) by eating this Pachchadi on that day.  It signifies that life is an admixture of all things -- sweet and sour.

OK.  Enough of lecturing on Ugadi.  Here go our links for today:

And here is today's quiz:
http://discover-it.blogspot.com/2006/09/quiz.html

In today's briefing:

1.  If I ask you to tell me something about Press Note 5, what would you tell me?  Take a look at what I expect you to tell me.

2.  About cricket.  And law and order.  And of course money -- how much would be lost if India doesn't reach the super eight.

3.  We have been covering something about ADC for quite some time.  By now you should be in a position to tell something about it.  A recap like noting.

4.  How many export promotion schemes are there?  Let's take a look at two of schemes which are in news fighting for funds.

5.  China ruled that land on moon is not for sale.  Let's look at a couple of international treaties governing this.

6.  Let's look at RBI's efforts at deepening corporate debt market.

7.  What is subprime US mortgage market?

8.  And finally Formula One Grand Prix.  Australian Grand Prix.  Who won it?  From which team?

Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
