Current affairs for 15th July, 2007

Hi friends,

Some of you might have experienced some transient problems in our blogs.  They (except the quiz blog) would have displayed in single column instead of three columns.  That was due a slight technical snag.  I corrected it and now it should work fine.  Do let me know if the problem still persists.

Here go our links for today:

In today's briefing:

1.  Many a time we would be facing a question about China's strengths and weaknesses.  Take a look at what I noted for you in Discover It blog from an article that appeared in today's ET.

2.  I found a web link for you to the India Gazetteer.  It is a gold mine of info and a good reference source.

3.  Supreme Court finally decides on the MNC BPO operations taxation issue.

4.  Indo-US defence deal.

5.  See a very good article that appeared about Mayawati.

6.  Finally some notes from TOI of Sunday:

What is Palynology?
Why are Latin Americas, so called?
What is Ramanujan Number?  And what is its specialty?

7.  And something about cricket record.  Wicket taking.

That's all for today.
