Dear friend of India Currents,

We have just published our December 2008/January 2009 combined issue, which features the newsmakers and top films of the year, commentary on the outcome of the U.S. presidential election, and a series of special features on the subject of "going home."

Just after we went to press, the horrific events in Mumbai began to unfold. Along with all of you, we will be watching and reading what happens in the coming months, and we will report on events as they stand when our next issue is out in February 2009.

Your comments and feedback are always welcome. All the best for the new year!

Sincerely,
Ragini Tharoor Srinivasan
