[Indian Current Affairs:673] Current affairs briefing for 13th November, 2008

Hi friends,

Here goes our link for today:

http://indiancurrentaffairs.blogspot.com/2008/11/13112008.html

In today's briefing:

1.  We take a hard look at the rebound seen in the IIP figures.  What is the reason for this jump amidst this gloom?  What can the government do about sustaining it?

2.  If you are asked to describe the pall of gloom that is present everywhere on the economic firmament at this juncture, can you descibe it about 200 words?  If so, will it be like what is noted in today's ET?

3.  Arun Maira, one of India's industry veterans shares his thoughts on some concepts that need to be redefined or changed by us to move ahead from where we are today.  Is it too early to think of the present times as tectonic shifts in the economic scene?

4.  NTT DoCoMo, the Japanese giant makes an entry into the Indian telecom scene.

5.  Crude tests some recent lows in pricing.

6.  Margaret Alva gets the boot.  Will she stick around in Congress?

7.  India test fires Shourya missile.

8.  Ever heard of Asklaika?  This is a very interesting company.  It has tied up with Airtel to offer an innovative service to all of us.

9.  Chandrayaan I makes quite progress.  Let us expect some exciting news in the next couple of days from this.

That's it for today.  Happy reading.

Ramakrishna
