Hi friends,
First of all many many thanks to all those who took the trouble of filling up the survey form. The feedback is analyzed and Yusuf and I are working on implementing some of the suggestions and starting today, you should see a gradual implementation of quite a few of the suggestions given out by you. If you don't see a suggestion of yours not implemented, please don't feel bad. It would be certainly not out of its lack of merit, but because either we are constrained for some reason or your suggestion would have received many more counter suggestions.
Overall, the response was good and very encouraging.

In today's briefing:
1. Perhaps for the first time in our blog, we take a look at subnational identities and their merits.
2. If you are asked to name two recent historic moments, I am sure you would name US election as one. But what is the other one that would figure in your list?
3. Wasn't it just a couple of days ago that we celebrated Jamie Dimon's (the CEO of JP Morgan Chase) visit to India? Is this bank too headed for trouble?
4. America's biggest car manufacturers report record quarterly losses.
5. A look at why Qatar is an important trading partner for India.
6. A very good article on India's recent sporting successes.
That's it for today. Happy reading.
