[Indian Current Affairs:631] Current affairs briefing for 22nd September, 2008

Hi friends,

Been busy for the last couple of days on some other work and couldn't post the notes.

Here we go with today's link:

It is done by Mr. Yusuf Kaydawala, one of our regular readers.

In today's briefing:

1.  Banks give a go bye to the sub PLR lending in India.

2.  And they are going for overseas $ swaps for staying afloat

3.  US comes out with yet another huge bail out package.  But look at the humongous debt of that country!!

4.  Something on 3G auctions.  It always remains complicated; in spite of the best intentions.

5.  Reliance's D6 deep water petroleum well starts producing oil.  Gas will be produced from 2009.

6.  Lehman's India assets are up for sale.

7.  Places that have experienced communal riots are fast turning in to fast breeder reactors for producing terrorists.

That's it for today.  Happy reading.
