I have explained a bit about the "Diwali effect" in today's Discover It blog. Take a look.
1. Remember anything about the ceasefire agreement between LTTE and Sri Lanka? I know most of us don't. This is what is known as reader apathy. If any issue keeps appearing for quite long in papers, readers tend to gloss over it after some time. They lose interest in the subject. That's exactly what happened to the Tamil issue in Sri Lanka.
2. Ever heard of residential hotels? If a hotel is not for 'stay' what is it for? What is this class of hotels?
3. Let's know a bit about oil exploration business in India.
4. See how ICICI Bank is more tech savvy than most other banks.
5. How will the subprime crisis effect our IT companies?
6. A good piece from Raghunathan on our bad governance.
7. EBP -- Ethanol blending programme. It is not applicable in some part of our country. Can you identify?
8. Industrial park scheme extended.
9. Sir Edmund Hillary is no more. Can you recall some of his other achievements?
10. Finally I answered one of the shout box queries about PPP.
That's it for today. Happy reading.
