[Indian Current Affairs:945] Current affairs briefing for 25th February, 2010

Hi friends,

In today's briefing:

1.  Bt Brinjal is put on hold by the PM.  NBRA to be set up.

2.  Highlights of Railway Budget.  BTW do you know what is operating ratio?  What does a higher operating ratio mean?

3.  Why is that wages in unorganized sector lag behind those in the organized sector?

4.  An excellent column on Finance Commission.  A must read.

5.  Language lessons: savoir-faire, smidgen, gobbledegook, peroration.

That's it for today.  Happy reading.

As I will be out of station for about three days there won't be any CA briefings till Monday.
