Current affairs briefing for 6th March, 2008

Hi friends,

Here goes our link for today:

http://indiancurrentaffairs.blogspot.com/2008/03/06032008.html

First of all a happy Maha Sivaratri to those who celebrate this festival.

In today's briefing:

1.  India wins its case against the US at WTO.  It is about anti-dumping duties by US on some commodity?  Can you remember the dispute?

2.  How can you revive Indian agriculture?  What steps would you recommend?  Think of some and then compare your list with what is given by Suresh Prabhu in today's ET.

3.  Ever heard of "Haptic interface"?  I am sure not likely.  It is a new technology.

4.  If your NRI friends ask you about the procedures for adopting a child from India, what can you suggest?  I think your suggestion would be 'Don't adopt'.  Look at why.

5.  Government is set to allow MVNOs to operate in India.  What are MVNOs?  If you had been a faithful reader of our blog, you would have known by now.  But to help those of you who came late, I give a definition of them again.

That's it for today.  Happy reading.
